  • In-Person @ 2505 Technology Circle Bentonville, Arkansas, United States (map)
  • 11:30 - 13:00 Central Daylight Time
  • Language: English

Come join us, as we listen to *local* Microsoft MVP tell us about Azure's Data Warehousing products, including Microsoft's new MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) technology.

Randy is also arranging for Microsoft to cater lunch for us (!).  We're expecting a larger-than-normal crowd, so please use the RSVP link to confirm your seat so we can plan accordingly.

Featured Presentation:

Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Cloud BI

Randy Walker, Mr Harvest Data Corp

Join us as we explore how to use Microsoft's new MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) technology. We'll deep dive into why we would use it over SQL Server, the benefits, the problems, and give real world examples on how a .Net developer & business owner (me) learned how to create a high performance scalable solution. We'll cover things like partitioning, columnstore indexes, CTAS, statistics, and the all important partition swapping.

About Randy:
A MicroISV owner for 10 years, Microsoft MVP for 8 years, an Azure Advisor, and former Board member for INETA, Randy Walker has dedicated his life efforts towards fostering the software development community and discipiling young men for Christ.
